There’s just a month to go until the Mini Festival returns to Oulton Park on Saturday 8 August, with a packed programme of racing for Britain’s most popular small car, and plenty to see off-track too.
The racing line-up will star examples of all types of Mini, from the classically-styled Issigonis original in a variety of classes, to the most up-to-date BMW versions in the Power Maxed MINI Challenge.
Older cars will appear in the Mini Se7ens and Mini Miglia races, two series renowned for providing thrilling wheel-to-wheel battles. There will be plenty of chances to see older cars in action in a Mini All-comers race too, which is open to all Mini varieties, including modified one-off specials.
The Power Maxed MINI Challenges is the fastest Mini racing series in the UK, with high-tech modern racing cars, designed to provide a similar sort of racing to British Touring Cars. Keep an eye out for examples of the new-for-2015 Gen 3 MINI running near the front – it’s the most advanced racing Mini yet!
Other petrol-fuelled action includes the world-famous Russ Swift MINI Stunt Show, where fans can marvel at a selection of amazing driving tricks and breathtaking manoeuvres.
The venue’s off-track areas will be lively too, as Mini-owners flock to the Cheshire parkland venue from all corners of the country to show-off their pride and joy. There will be plenty of opportunities to chat to other Mini fans, and browse merchandise in a lively trade village too.
